The Società italiana di Filosofia del diritto is the Italian national section of the IVR.
The society was founded in 1935 at the initiative of Professor Giorgio Del Vecchio of the University of Rome. The society publishes the journal Rivista di Filosofia del diritto (Journal of Legal Philosophy). The current president of the society is Professor Baldassare Pastore, Full Professor of Legal Philosophy at the University of Ferrara.
