The Brazilian Section of the IVR, ABRAFI, has elected a new board for the biennium 2023/2025 during the IX Brazilian Congress on Philosophy of Law., which took place in Rio de Janeiro (April, 27 and 28, 2023). The Congress’s main theme was Law, Science and Politics, and gathered together 100 scholars from all over the country, as well as some foreign ones, such as Professors Mortimer Sellers (USA), Gülriz Uygur (Turkey) and Maria Clara Calheiros (Portugal).
Prof. Margarida Lacombe Camargo (from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) is the new head of the association, and has replaced prof. Marcelo Galuppo (from Federal University of Minas Gerais), who has served in this position for 16 years.
