The International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR) announces the establishment of the AMINTAPHIL Book Award in Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy to be awarded bi-annually at the IVR World Congress. The selection will be made by an IVR committee from nominations of books published in one of the four IVR official languages (English, French, Spanish and German) in the preceding two years.
The first AMINTAPHIL Book Award will be presented at the 29th IVR World Congress in Lucerne, Switzerland in 2019. To this end, we ask for nominations of books published no earlier than Jan. 1, 2016 in the field of philosophy of law and social philosophy. Self-nominations are acceptable.
In your nomination, please provide the bibliographic data of the book nominated, including the name of the author, the complete title of the book, the publisher and the year of publication. While not required, any additional information, such as a short description of the book, a short explanation of the reason for the nomination, and information on published book reviews will be appreciated. Nominations are not limited to single-authored monographs, but edited volumes with chapters by multiple authors are excluded. Collections of papers by a single author are allowed if the majority of the papers in the collection are previously unpublished and on related themes.
Please email your nominations to Prof. Veronique Champeils-Desplats at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “AMINTAPHIL Book Nomination” no later than Oct. 15, 2018.
