St. Petersburg, 14–15 December 2017
This is call for paper to International Academic Conference The Scientific Legacy of Leon Petrażycki: History and Modernity (on the 150th Anniversary of His Birth) held on 14–15 December 2017 by the St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg, Russia) under the auspices of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, Boris Yeltsin’s Presidential Library and the University of Milan (Italy).
Leon Petrażycki (1867–1931) is a prominent legal scholar of the 20th century. His legal writings on theory of law, civil law and legal policy, as well as sociology, psychology, logic and methodology of science were widely acclaimed by the international community, pioneering in such areas as sociology of law, economic analysis of law, legal realism, etc. The St. Petersburg school of legal philosophy is closely related to the name of Leon Petrażycki and his teachings.
We welcome participants to contribute to the program and send a short article on the topic of their presentation of maximum 80,000 characters (spaces included) in Russian or English language by 1 October 2017.
All of the articles will be peer-reviewed and the selected ones will be published in the law journal Pravovedenie.
